get used to the idea that tmo is dead and stop referring to it as if it was the source of all knowledge
Then maybe someone who has the video can upload it?

Keep the hope; things are not as bad as they seem...

there is a very simple way to remove this from N900 boot without deleting the file.

Edit

/etc/Hildon-Welcome.do/default.conf

with your favorite text editor and remove the video name shown in there.

if yes could you tell an idiot like me how to?
I am surprised that no one has yet mentioned that you can just uninstall hildon-welcome. I did it thorough Faster Application Manager (you need to select "all packages", it only shows the non-system ones by default). Another way is running apt-get remove hildon-welcome in xterm.

See also this thread or do a search for hildon-welcome.

Me too. I was just about to post that, but decided against it, as it seems the thread is now deviating towards alternative bootvideos.. so I thought it might not be so useful. After all, the OP hasn't even responded yet.

Thanks man...nice collection.
But I have problem downloading these files:

maemo_bright_xvid_lame_r1.avi
maemo_bright_xvid_lame_r2.avi
maemo_bright_xvid_lame_r3.avi

"The file you requested has been blocked for a violation of our Terms of Service."

Thanks again

WTF, STUPID MEDIAFIRE! For the sake of it, what violation?

Where should I upload it, I hate all those sites that screw me, over and over again! I just want to upload something and be available forever not doing it over and over again...
