This shipment period will probably drag over two weeks.

1. Shipments are probably in batches, so no way to know if the US shipment yesterday included Dells
2. Some like me got "free" shipping. That adds both a shipment queue delay and several days of delivery time.
3. Thanksgiving in the US tends to compress deliveries and shift non-guaranteed past the holiday, since shippers are more concerned about same, next, two and three day guarantees. "Free" gets pushed out.

Might be a long wait. I do not mind for the difference in price

When you say long.. how long?? Will we get the N900 on December 10th like they say?? Or what?? And I got mine for 446.42 I think..

I don't mind the wait.. I just want to make sure that I'll get it.. :P

And so far it's "In Production".. *Crossing my fingers*...

I think the earlier you ordered, the better chance of getting the N900 in the next two weeks. Dell apparently burned through their allocation and they pulled the N900 from their site. My guess is some will see "back order" and some will be very happy. Even if back ordered, I think we will still get them by the first week of December. Depends on how much clout "official reseller" has. Should be better than not being one.

On the positive, I went from doubting Dell deal's would be honored to expecting deliveries this month- for some at least

What we should all hope for is for D3LL to not cancel on us the last minute...

As we are all "small business" customers , Dell would do best to not suddenly cancel a bunch of orders. They may not make a LOT of profit on some of the sales, but they will make some. And money is money... they'll ship them out eventually.

Like others are saying, I'm willing to wait a bit longer to get the deal that I got (~460 after tax). On the positive side, that will give developers extra time to get their apps through the extras process by the time I get it . Ideally, I'd just really like to see a shipment notification by Thanksgiving.

Keep an eye on your paypal/credit accounts to see when it's actually charged. It won't be long after being charged to be shipped--and they won't charge until they have your device in stock.

I think the deal only lasted several hours. I ordered mine at 5pm eastern time. The deal was stopped at about 7PM or earlier, based on people posting that they could not get the deal. The product was pulled from the web site the next day.

Not long to see how much "official reseller" matters here. If correct, we should ironically get them before Amazon and Newegg orders, but Newegg is usually very efficient with deilveries- IF they have the product at same time.
