Just got an email from them and they said they will be releasing Australian maps and it should be out very soon

Good news all around. I'm pretty happy this and other commercial vendors are looking at Maemo as a viable OS to sell products on.

Update:

Just noticed a new update of the software in the last few days and in Route Settings you can now have a Pedestrian Route or a Bicycle Route.

A nice touch me thinks as I was only trying to use it last Friday in London to find a location while walking.

Another update:
You can now set a Maximum Speed warning notification noise. That is very useful indeed so that you do not have to keep looking at your speedometer while driving on the motorway. The default setting is 62MPH. (Yeah right!)

Have been user testing the software for Sygic for a couple of weeks.
Am reporting back bugs / problems.

Sent an email to Anna (Sygic PR) asking about the release date on OVI Store, didn't received a reply though.

Ok, I have just sent an email to a contact at Sygic who I have been dealing with and asked him the question about the likely release date. I will update the post when I hear back.
