I've just been trying to get through to Nokia Care, but no luck so far - there appears to be a huge queue - with the message "Due to the success of our recent products our phone lines are busy" - or something to that effect.

I assume that must be all the people phoning the support number to congratulate them?!?!

sorry to hear that Ads, I can imagine what you must be feeling after the long wait !

maybe we must all go and make a request to the Nokia flagship shop to have these defective products recalled and replaced with a fresh batch.

Now after I heard that "when you charge the phone" theory is now no saver , this is really dissapointing, for god sakes ! this was supposed to be a flagship product and a new venture for Nokia , they are screwing up big time !

And also from 3 users who can't get the N900 to work?
Nokia never officially say it's not supported 3 when they buy it, only those who read around will find out.

Yeah it's definitely a tad annoying. It'll be interesting to hear Nokia's viewpoint on this. Though I'm not sure if we will.
I got through to Nokia in the end and they have raised my call up to the next tier - I'm assuming a more technical bod.
I take it the others on here with the same issue have gone the same route?
The first guy got me to do a reset to factory defaults and I don't think he could do much more from there. So I'm waiting for another call.

So by the sounds of it, they may be trying to look into what might fix it - or it's the standard route even if they haven't got a clue.

One of the most annoying things about this is the hassle it tends to involve. It's bad enough trying to get the first delivery, let alone potentially sending it back etc!

Could someone please make a list with names (maybe in a new thread) of those having the mic problem. Then it would be easy to follow how big the problem is.

I said like 5 times that I turned mine on without charging and the microphone was still busted.

Just as a heads up for all of the ppl who ordered from nokia.co.uk.

she actually promised less than 10 working days but she said it should be quicker because they have devices reserved for things like this and it would be more like 2 days to mail it to them 2 days to process and 2 days to send a new one. so if i mail it on monday i should receive the following tuesday.
