Of all the quarters, Q4 (by far) is most impacted by when in the quarter a product is released. Christmas season is when retailers/manufacturers make the most money (obviously). You have to release your product at just the right time to catch the biggest wave of sales. Products seem to do best when released in early to mid november, as they can build steam into black friday and through the shopping season.
