well well i have been off for a long while
now just to make somethings clear :
for who are using batterypatch and using KP latest build : edit overclock profile and remove 700 and change 750 to 720
and you will be fine
for who are using speedpatch (and doesn't having problems wih it)
then continue using it, there are no conflicts betwean it and KP
and the only problem than speedpatch may cause is the terminal message
still i can't solve that
and speedpatch doesn't cause unexpected reboots
@maacruz
actually it does assign processes to cgroup
you can check your self
the 1st version of speedpatch didn't do that
@freemangordon
please respect my work too
and i don't know why it caused you troubles
anyway after installing speedpatch you and some others may think that moving from A to B as everything in /sysparts is moved to /dev/cgroup doesn't improve anything
but that is wrong
it actually improves multiple things as linus torvalds said
on N900 the most imroved thing are multitask and some other programms EX: transmission, nokia panorama ...etc
hope i made everything clear

the 1st version of speedpatch didn't do that
/tmp $ apt-cache showpkg speedpatch Package: speedpatch Versions: 1.9-5 (/var/lib/apt/lists/repository.maemo.org_extras-devel_dists_fremantle-1.3_free_binary-armel_Packages)
/tmp/speedpatch $ find -type f ./home/user/.bashrc.speedpatch ./home/user/.profile.speedpatch ./usr/local/sbin/cgroup_clean ./etc/event.d/speedpatch ./etc/rc.local
/tmp/speedpatch $ cat home/user/.bashrc.speedpatch if [ "$PS1" ] ; then mkdir -p -m 0700 /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/$$ > /dev/null 2>&1 echo $$ > /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/$$/tasks echo "1" > /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/$$/notify_on_release fi
This patch addresses the problem by taking note of what the user is doing right now, and using that information to accelerate the current task, and decelerate other tasks on the system.
The user won't notice the background stuff going slower, they will just see their app working fast. The patch does this by creating multiple classes of task
-------------------------------------------
/dev/cgroup/cpu/tasks
/dev/cgroup/cpu/desktop/tasks
/dev/cgroup/cpu/applications/tasks
/dev/cgroup/cpu/applications/standby/tasks
/dev/cgroup/cpu/applications/launcher/tasks
-------------------------------------------
