thanks for the quick reply. it's probably not this patch doing anything to cause update problems then. It was just a theory. I'm just about to go make some backups now and try it again.

All good so far. updates working ok. no issue with sudo files. just tried iPlayer and a combination of the speedpatch, and pretending I am using an iphone(using hide user agent) makes videos run smoothly again. Was very jumpy before applying these patches. Battery may even be better I think, as I have been using constantly and it's hardly gone down this time.

PS. If anyone didn't know about that trick. The best results from iPlayer I find is to just type "iphone" into hide user agent. videos run really well then. when you are done watching you can always put it back to whatever you want.

Hello karam, I am using kernel-power v42 on my n900, can I use the speed and battery patch without upgrading to v47 or v48 of the kernel-power?

thank you

Ed

Hmm..

Karam is it a problem that sometimes I get the infamous xterm error that couldn't find the /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/ directory, take note that I sometimes get that error after rebooting and sometimes not.

earlier when i tried it through x-terminal.. my phone was speedy. and it was automatically set to 750 mhz even i restart the phone it was never back to 600 mhz. but now when its in repo., i manually have to set it to higher freq.
is this not posssibble now that the freq remain constant on 750 mhz.?
