in terminal :

[Not sure if this is needed, but I did it anyway ]sudo gainroot (need rootsh)
apt-get install wget

then you can run those commands once it finishes downloading and installing

Becareful with some of the really high clocks

Higher frequency = More Heat : FACT!

Yes "Locking it" is more harmful then below 600/550.

But there is always the if or if.

Using the latest titan-kernel with uv (not ulv!) and can't make calls. They seem to connect to the destination (it rings...) but I don't hear the free signal tone or speech.

The non-uv-kernel did work.

Edit: But the battery lasts about 30% longer

i dont doubt that.
but is even more heat produced when the voltage is upped

so, which is worse (for generating heat/shortening lifespans) higher voltage and lower clock or the opposite, a higher clock with a lower voltage?

i was happily running the normal O/C kernel @ 800, it was totally stable and i'm fine with taking the risk that the phone will last me until my next upgrade.

i just figure that 1GHz at a lower voltage will be no worse than running 800 with an increased voltage.

yes but taken into account why CPU makers set a vcore for cpus, its for maximum stability. we might no be seeing issues but there are no apps likke prime95/oroths to test our phones.

higher freq puts more stress = shorter life, more volts = shorter life.

higher freq + more volts =..well you gussed it double shorter life lol

But no point having alot of performace if stability is @ risk.

I'm a PC overclocker and know lot about OC, I done loads c2d/c2q/amd x2/opterons/fx setups.

i think 900mhz is a good freq to do stability testing as it has real noticable gains, i been using for 3-4 days with no issues with stability (cant be 100% sure as there is no app) but heat has been high @ load.

trying the ulv 800mhz since last night to test.

Did anybody replaced his firmware with the Letho's 1100mhz and the 1000mhz they are the same if you ask me.

I tried both and did the echo 1000000...etc i got 1100mhz seen in Conky and Healthcheck normaly locked at 800mhz on 500mhz stock voltage.

Can Letho confirm this?

with Lehtos ulv 800 i got dmesg errors:
[ 985.107666] WARNING: at arch/arm/mach-omap2/clock34xx.c:443 omap3_noncore_dpll_set_rate+0x28c/0x2dc()
this will repeat a lot.

and with Lehtos standard 900mhz I do not got these. No warnings at all .

both are stable, but think i will go with 900Mhz version.
