Ditto here. As someone that uses their tablet both inside and out this keeps the tablet readable. I also wonder if this feature contributes to longer battery life.

O.T. question: So I read the wikipedia page on resistive / capacative touch screens. I'm wondering what my thinkpad X61 tablet is? The touchscreen is called MultiView/MultiTouch, but only works with the special stylus, not with finger/other object touch. Just curious...

Same tech the Wacom tablets use. Sometimes they combine that with a resistive panel as well.

Hey, SDHC cards are not dead, you know! Most of the current generation HD camcorders are using them, so I see a few more years of these cards being available...

Not exactly surprising. It matters a lot less, though, because I suspect the built-in card will be in the ballpark of 32GB.

As I see it, regular vs. mini is a totally separate issue; it's quite possible that the backlash has been noisy enough to encourage a single full-SD slot. But if I had to put money down, I'd go with microSD. Nobody uses miniSD, so I'd hope they get rid of it, and micro is preferable if they're trying to keep the size down. This time, they're adding substantial hardware (HD camera), so even without another whole tablet shrink (like the N800->N810), they could need that space. (Personally, I'd rather they go back to N800 size, put the d-pad on the face, and at least one full-SD. And maybe a second d-pad (or analog nub) on the right side...)

The thing I hate about micro-SD is that you need the adapter to input it directly into most all readers and printers.

Any storage card that is so small it can't be removed easily with your fingers isn't practical. The microSD in my phone can't be removed without a pair of tweezers. I'd rather have a device a little larger to be able to use a card that's handlable.
