I just tried third time.
The so is definitely in place. And this is the way I did the installation the last times (bad experiences installing cssu debs on my stock device).
deb just provides the so, not more. And manual dpkg I am afraid of (is there a way to simulate like apt-get -s)?

New version of battery status applet is in cssu-devel. Please test if everything working fine. This could be final version ready for cssu-testing and stable. If there are any problems let me know.

status-area-applet-battery (1.0-8) fremantle; urgency=low

* Fix reporting battery full
* Do not update battery text, icon and animation when display is off

arcean, one more thing regarding newest h-d update (adding to my previous two observations):
lock N900 in portrait, slide keyboard, N900 goes landscape, now turn it off or restart (still with keyboard open): hildon-desktop is launching in portrait orientation, ignoring slider position. It takes few seconds to recognize proper orientation and h-d switches to landscape.

In OMP thread http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=72156 is discussion about pushing OMP to cssu-devel as replacement for stock nokia player. (now *only* to cssu-devel). What other cssu testers/developers think?

well i'm not a tester/developer/CSSU Devel user like you people but i think its a good decision as OMP is stable now and have all features (more) nokia media player have. i don't see any harm in CSSU Devel as all CSSU-Devel users are testers and developers.

Oh, no!
Do not tell me this!!!
I once struggled two days with such bulls..t while getting nitdroid u-bootable. My n900 is already sleeping, will do tomorrow and let you know.

I needed to know! So I woke up my little gem again.
And yes, exactly. As you said (now put a underscore instead of a dot before so and it is okay).
Thank you very much.

I think that it is not ready yet.
Mainly because its UI being "raw": about QT button is not needed, about a program button needs deletion too (put credits in About CSSU in Control Panel), sleep timer should be taken to the options and a whole options view needs massive overhaul: there are too many buttons (too many options even for small tiny features which should be "hardcoded" or taken to some config.ini or gconf string for pro users), few of them means nothing without reading a wiki and those "*" at the bottom...
