Actually, if you remove the country from the query string, like so:
http://direct.nokia.com/countries.as...=N810&add=true
You can pick the US out of the list. Doing so shows that the US store is out of stock =/

From the sublime to the ridiculous.....
I CALLED the US shop to get past the backorder business.. you CAN place orders this way. Two pieces of bad news:
1) The codes still do not work
2) The ETA for the N810 is FEB 18, 2008!
Yes, you read it right, Feb 18! A month and a half! Maybe they will come early but this whole business has blown up in Maemos/Nokias collective faces. I'm not above buying the device at retail (I bought my 770 and 800) but they are generating a lot of bad will and keeping the device out of the hands of the very people they need to build the software ecosystem.
