I just tried FastSMS 3.1 with MyContacts not running. When you click the "contact" button it automatically started MyContacts as it should.
FastSMS latest version also worked as intended.
What I did:
1. on MyContacts selected the option to "shutdown" to make it was not running on the background
2. started FastSMS using the applications menu
3. clicked on the top left button on FastSMS to select a phone number
Am I missing something?

hmm, got an issue with the latest version i'm afraid. I can't get it to open Horizontal-Call for the contact list. It keeps giving me the message 'Install Horizontal-Call from app manager" I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Horizontal call, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?
I have FastSMS 0.3-2 and MyContacts 0.9.18.1 installed. After a fresh boot, opened FastSMS, clicked the top left button for contact, it says me "Install MyContacts or change in options". Doesn't fire up Mycontacts.
Is it possible to enable/disable predictive text in options and let it stay as set. I have to disable it every time when I open FastSMS.
hey! nice work, solid stuff this. I tried vertsms and fastsms a while back, and was sad to see that fastsms didnt have the option to play without t9, and vertsms saddned me in other ways.
I tried it again 4 minutes ago, and Im loving it! Few questions though;
Is it possible to get an option to turn on vibrating feedback for the dials even if your profile has set touch vibration off? For me its only something Id prefer for touchtexting, but annoying in any other circumstance =) .
Is space the issue when it comes to the layout? I find myself missing the "caps/t9" switching the bottom right key traditionally has had on Nokia phones, as well as the symbols menu on the bottom left key. I know I can dig through the 1 button to cycle the symbols, but to be honest its real weird. % comes before the "smiley"-icons ();:= for instance, and the list is long.
If you remove the "prev" and "next" buttons for those two buttons, the "disable t9" button would be removeable, right? Never having been a huge t9 user, I assume the reason for "prev/next" buttons arent merged with the arrowkeys is to move past a word once youve selected the correct one with the "prev/next" keys?
Perhaps a layout with "prev/next" keys for those who choose t9, and a "normal nokia setup" for those of us who dont?
Hm also, bit tough to reach the contacts and send buttons way up there without shifting the phone a good bit. Maybe the "status bar" with the information about fastwrite, abc and symbols remaining could go way up top to ease the use for women and children and men with short thumbs =P ?
Or perhaps make the text field slightly slimmer but taller to accomodate contacts and send buttons to its side? Perhaps this would even clear the way for the afforementioned "standard nokia setup" keypad to work while keeping the next/prev buttons onscreen up under the contacts/send buttons, if you follow?
Wow this all sounds like "wtf is this!!?? I want more!!!", but I merely mean them as suggestions for improvement, as seen by a sole user =) . Its a hell of a good job youve done with this as is, and I really thank you for it.
