That's not true at all.

IMHO, KP49 is the best KP edition till now. Thanks at the maintainers for the effort!

But it is true that every single N900 device is a world itself.

She's complaining every time someone releases a new version of something she thinks she absolutely must have installed, either about 'lagginess' or about 'battery draining' or about general bla bla, so at best +set mode ignore.

I meant the "default-dsp" profile.

I had the phone reboot again while idle yesterday so that's about 4 days since the last reboot.

My phone will not reboot on the Nokia kernel with SR on.

Before your latest patch, KP would not last more than 48 hours before rebooting. Even on the stock (250-600) speeds. Now it looks like it will last about 4 or 5 days.

It will mostly reboot while idle. I can play 720p files all day and it won't reboot.

I will try stock speeds now and see how long it lasts without a reboot.

Great! Been too busy latest weeks to test it, but now I'll jump the wagon.

A lot of n900 drivers are upstreamed, see http://elektranox.org/n900/kernel/status.html

And Meego n900 kernel should have all drivers included, see https://meego.gitorious.org/meego-de...on/n900_kernel
I think this would be pretty cool. As more features are now in mainline it *should* make maintaining the kernel a little easier for all of you. I know later kernels have better cgroup support (swappiness for example), which may help bring a little boost in performance.

What would the updated drivers bring to freemangordon's 720p work?
Would there be any issue/improvement with the sgx drivers?
Would it bring a better solution to battery module issues?
Would it require/benefit from updated libraries and if so how much?

Edit: With regards to libraries I'm thinking about BlueZ and the recent bluetooth changes. I currently can't connect a kernel 3.1 netbook to my N900 because of some chages that were made in a recent kernel version.

@estel: You talked about a 2101 specific issue? I have to prove you wrong as I have the same HW revision and I have none of the SR/DSP related issues. On my device 900 w/ SR + 600DSP no problems So I think there's even difference in HW revisions, each device is unique...
