im using psx4all but i'll try psx4m
btw : i tried another bugs bunny.iso just downloaded few minutes ago and the same happened again with psx4all

And the follow up question for the memory card or bios... Is there a way we can boot it using psx4m? You know the screeny like this?

i uninstalled psx4all and installed psx4m-gui, it gave me this msg in the pic and when i try to open a game its slow and dont use scph ..also /home/opt/psx4m is empty

A: install rootsh package and open x-terminal
in x-term write follows

$ root
$ mkdir -p /home/opt/psx4m/
$ chmod 777 /home/opt/psx4m/
$ rm /home/opt/psx4m/keys
$ chown user /home/opt/psx4m/

and restart psx4m-gui


Q: "error! no bios found"
A: psx4m uses psx original bios, we do not provide it so you have two ways

* dump it from psx by yourself (google for instruction)
* download dumped ( it's illegal so no links,googling will help you)

after copy bios in MyDocs folder wtih name scph1001.bin (/home/user/MyDocs/scph1001.bin)




Dont use it in fullscreen mode and install the bios

Just successfully loaded my first game (Resident Evil)

Seems to run ok but the speech is so slooooooooooooow

The Team 16 websit edoes not mention any sound problems - am I doing anything wrong?

Radicalz38: we can, but you can't =) i mean that sources allow to do it, but no switches allow to load bios ;-) // sorry for english

question, where do I get the psx memory card file ?

AgogData sounds like corrupted copy of a game... maybe try another one?

If I remeber correctly the *.mcr files(memory cards) are stored in this dir:

thanks colla 84 and magik, got 2 more question. in psx4all when i put the bios in the main directory, it read it and every game starts with sony and ps logo and became faster,,now in psx4m before and after bios the same no logos and low speed
and why do games take a while to start up ?
the application is great btw and the videos became nicer

Jus trried Silent Hill - Team16 states all ok but my version has a big block around the sprites, then sprites disappear!

They recommend frameskip 5 and cycle mult 3 - is it just my version?
