True, no 250mhz mode in there. Thats why I've decided no to do "monkey-see" - "monkey-do" with titans kernels and diff files and just stick to the 5 slot system. Though I must say I will someday in future rip it a bit to gain 2-3 more slots for different ultra-oc speeds like 1150mhz, 1250mhz etc but for now thats irrelevant to me. For my own device that is...

As I really love original Lehtos 125-900/stockDSP kernel - this kernel has about 10% of battery lose after some 6-8 hours ... overnight, having ICQ online and emails received vie IMAP every 15 minutes from google (in fact, they are delivered instantly after received by server). Im interested in having this one with more scaling steps ... according to powertop, Ive got 125,250,500,550 and 900mHz steps and I see it scale like 125 - 900 - 500 - 900 - 125 ... like that.

Id be interested in the same kernel, having steps like: 125, 250, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 ... if anybody is capable of doing that. Thc for info ...

There is a reason - Nokia needs real-time just between a phone call start and other end answer.

Yes, use titans kernel for that function.

I tried /titans 125-1100 I think/, but (I dont know why) it drains more battery then yours, under same conditions as described.

But Im about to test it more anyway.

Yup, but still doesn't explain why it writes a hard coded value every time and ignores the minimum frequency set in the config file. That is just bad programming.

Good point. Usually, you can't set idle voltage... that is a hardware default as the CPU sleeps during that time. Only thing you can realistically do is reduce the running voltage and strike the right compromise between running frequency and voltage so that CPU returns to low power state as soon as possible.

Which config file - /etc/pmconfig ?

But that file was created later, just for convenience. I think nobody in Nokia assumed the needs of frequency change, it is usual practice "believe chip manufacturer".

Actually, you right, on top level it is a bad design, but on application level it is done well.

the table has a zero frequency settings for voltage. I guess that's for other components than the CPU (DSP?). anyway, it's the lowest voltage specified.
