Where I used to be able to maaaaybe stretch my Motorola Droid out to a bout two days of normal use before it would finally completely run out and turn off, I recently decided not to try charging and see how long it lasts. I'm already on day two and it's still well over 70%. What... the.. hell?? I'm really, really loving this on a phone!
I have been using Android Revolution HD on my DHD, and with the latest build v4.0 β 2 | Gingerbread & New HTC Sense 2.1 | Android 2.3.2, I have been getting 2 full days with normal use.

I might try out CyanogenMod 7.

EDIT: Hmmm, seems like the HTC Desire HD is still not "officialy" supported on CyanogenMod 7. I'll keep an eye on this.

Can someone with a Android tablet try installing and playing the games Pew Pew and Tank Hero?
They are awesome on the DHD's 4.3" screen, should be even better on a bigger screen

The screenshots there are a bit old, it looks better now.

What are we supposed to be looking at? (Maybe post a direct link to the article?)

Google has made market app stats available for developers:

http://www.androidcentral.com/google...veloper-portal

Interestingly, 86% of users are using v2.1 and v2.2 .

It would seem that claims of 'fragmentation' are somewhat overstated, however, I wonder how this will change when v2.3 hits the market en-mass as v2.1/2.2 was part of Android's explosive growth.

I would bet that at 86% for a major version (v2), android is actually less fragmented than other popular smartphone OSs.

This is pretty neat.

Samsung's TangoView robot vaccuum cleaner doubles as a surveilence sentinel:

Yup, that's a Tab in the picture! Cool indeed.

It looks as if the Amazon App store is just about ready for prime time!

http://www.amazon.com/apps
http://www.droiddog.com/android-blog...ces-previewed/

If you follow the link, you can preview some prices for a handful of apps.

Amazon knows how to sell media/goods/whatever! I fully expect that this app store will give Google's Market a serious run for its money.

By the by... still going. I haven't charged my Droid yet and I'm on my third day now. It's just over 20% (but then I played some games on it yesterday.. not typical phone usage for me but I was waiting in the car for someone). NICE!

Really? I had edited the link. Try again. I can certainly see apps; starting with Fruit Ninja. Clicking on the app, however, took me to Amazon's front page.
