I believe it's in the nokia-binaries repository which you can add by accepting the license agreement here:
http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/eula/index.php
Warning: I'm not sure if this repository should be used on the actual device. You can add it to scratchbox though.

Copy the *.pk3 files from your Quake 3 CD into /home/user/baseq3.

Step by step instructions:
NOTE: I have just put this together in one place and do not take credit for the work of the users that have already mentioned the following but in separate places including: qgil, omcfadde, jcwilk
BEFORE YOU START READ THE FOLLOWING WARNING:
Everything should now work fine, so just load up Quake 3 and it should work straight away.
(When it asks for the CD Key just press the enter key twice)
NOTE: The game is still very buggy so don't expect it to work as you want it to.
Some useful keys:
Fn (Blue Arrow) + Ctrl/Sym = Open/Close console.
Fn + , (Next to backspace) = Esc (aka Menu)
Space = Jump
Ctrl/Sym = Fire
T = Talk (press enter to come out of this)
Fn + 1 = Weapon 1 (2,3,4,5, etc will change to weapon 2,3,4,5,etc)
A = Side step left
D = Side spep right
Up (On direction keys on the right) = move forward (same as tilting phone forward)
Down (on direction keys on the right) = move backwards (same as tilting phone backwards)
You can customise the above commands to how you want in the options i.e. change side step to the direction keys!

Now that we have hundreds of N900 testers it's a good time to settle on something that we have discussed many time in the past: the big majority of users should rely on the maemo.org Extras repository and the official Nokia repos only.
Anybody installing extras-testing, extras-devel, a third party repository, a single deb package or any combination requiring openng xterm is not a pure end user anymore but a tester. At least s/he should know! So please think it twice before posting, forwarding, reposting and recommending anything out of the stable repositories at nokia.com and maemo.org.
Two very concrete examples that current N900 users can suffer already today:
- Full memory because of apps ignoring the recommendation of installing big files in the internal memory.
- Significantly shorter use times because of widgets and apps not paying much attention to power management.
The Maemo community has put a big effort creating a quality assurance process in order to guarantee certain standards. Advanced users aware of the risks of unstable software are helping evaluating whether apps are ready for end users or not. Don't bypass all this hard work by making popular buggy software. At least not without a big warning.
End users might be happy in the short term with your links and tricks but the risk of making their Maemo life miserable are high if they are unaware of the possible consequences. Instead, giving feedback to the generally goodwilling developers will help them fixing the problems and offering the software end users want without hacks, tricks and dirt under the carpet.
BIG THANK YOU for reading this, propagating the message and helping out.
- On your N900 open the web browser and goto http://repository.maemo.org/
- Click on install next to "Fremantle Extras-Deval" which is half way down the page (WARNING - Do not install unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing and have fully read and understood the above information from qgil)
- Give it a few seconds and it should load up the application manager, click on add and it should update the catalogue automatically
- Goto the games sub-menu and find ioquake3 and install it
- If you get an error installing and it asks for "Libgles1-sgx-img", it is because you have disabled some of the other repositories, make sure you keep the default ones enabled all the time!! - Connect your N900 to the PC in mass storage mode and make a folder called "baseq3" in the root directory and then copy the *.pk3 files from your Quake 3 CD into it.
- In X-Terminal type the following (this should show a list of files about 4 files/folders):
Code:ls /home/user/.q3a/baseq3/
- In x-Terminal type the following to move the files to the hidden folder:
Code:mv /home/user/MyDocs/baseq3/* /home/user/.q3a/baseq3/
- In X-Terminal type the following (this should now show the *.pk3 files):
Code:ls /home/user/.q3a/baseq3/
Everything should now work fine, so just load up Quake 3 and it should work straight away.
