http://my-meego.com/downloads/search.php?name=GConfik

Download GConfik from the above link
Now when you open GConfik you can navigate to /desktop/meego/status_area/display_percentage and choose value...Click set from context menu once chosen the value for it to apply...

You can use this app to edit all gconf keys instead of risking via terminal in case of wrong keys edited...For example, theme can be set from here too instead of using terminal...

Oh no AFAIK that is not possible...These are gconf keys not editable in an editor...It will screw the system if edited using nano etc...

Keys can be found using filebox (I'll PM you the locations once i remember them otherwise people here will blame me for bugging their phones) but edited/changed only using GConfik or terminal

Try also from terminal as ROOT
devel-su
your password, default is: rootme
gconftool -s -t b /desktop/meego/status_area/display_percentage true

Another question, before option 3, did you installed something else from tweak T ? Maybe option 2 (status menu extensions) or 1 (unrestricted sys-ui and toggles) ?
Yes, I believe I did install those options from T 2 and 1

Do they have a negative affect?

This is a cool app!
I followed and all correct showing except the showing of the battery percentage on top..
At this point I really think something is blocking it from showing and I can't pin what it is...I may have to plug into software updater and reinstall PR 1.3 in order to get device to factory setting, unless you have an easier method that you could run by me in order to bring device to original factory setting and then reapply the tweaks freshly.

Thanks as always!
