No they tried to add the N900, but they got an NULL reference instead as it is still not available for sale

I just wish they sent a confirmation, you know, a 'we got your letter, we're working on it' or sorts...

I didn't get the question sorry...

You're talking about passing your loaned device to someone else?
In this case probably whoever gets it needs to sign the loan agreement and probably Nokia should prepare a new document where it states that you don't have it anymore..

Hey, the default English keyboard is just fine with me: after all, it is one of the few that have still got all four arrow keys

Apparently, the devices will sport only the international keyboard:

Hello Ernesto,

Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately it is not possible to have N900 with Italian keyboard.
We can only provide euro1 phones as the only option in our services.
All our phone models are the same.

Of course we can send your feedback further on and hopefully someday our service can enlargen the option.

FWIW,

looks like they're processing them now.. I got an email stating they couldn't find my ID and asked me to fill in some form (I probably missed it before).

Ernesto, the Italian layout is useless anyway
For accented letters just use something like : a' e' i' o' u'

I'll try to hack something though. Maybe some kind of daemon which automagically changes a' in à, e' in è and so on... (except when in xterm of course).
