Problem: if I use fastsms (it's enough just 1 time), crochik mycontacts process remains active forever consuming constantly 16.8 percent of memory.
to stop it I've to kill it.
some idea to solve this stuff?

Just open the FastSMS in landscape mode, slide out the keyboard, and type. Here is the screenshot.
As you can see, whatever I write is written from left to right like arabic, and all words are reversed. Additionally, each word starts with Capital letter.
What I wrote there: You can see that the cursor is reversed and it writes from right to left.
Edit: letter count is also at 1/160
Lolllllll! I never tried it
I will investigate about this, but i never thinked about use physical keyboard in fastsms...next release will have also qwerty both in landscape than in portait...

Not exactly
I dont know how you measured memory usage, but if you used something like Conky, the total amount is not so correct.
I try to explain: Qt libraries use a good amount of memories for libraries, libraries that are shared between different apps based on Qt...
Conky show a 13-14% mem usage for Fastsms but real amount is 5-6% (italian dictionary).

What about standard phonebook? I don't know how use it...calling it from an extern app is easy but I don't know how use the selected number...

PS You can stop MyContacts easily from the options of this app

Just to add to what realsports has already explained:
You can "turn off" mycontacts without having to kill it. Just select "Shutdown" from the menu and it will be completely removed from memory. The downside is that every time you try to select a contact will take few seconds for mycontacts to load the contacts.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any better way still using Qt Mobility library - it takes few seconds to parse your entire list of contacts and consumes some memory after that because it keeps the contacts in memory. The truth is that I have never noticed a "lack of memory" issue with the n900 - I assume it does a good memory management by using the swap.
