That's bizarre it was a launch country...
But when was it officially launched, & when did actually 1st start hitting shelves?
Maybe it was too close to the actual Lumia launch/roll-out.
I know Indon has been announced as one of the next Lumia countries.
Sightly before before Australia, which starts in March sometime.

Yeah so started much later than Australia, & the 800 actually arrived earlier than it has in Australia.
So the N9 basically had very little chance in your country...
This is an e.g. of a country where Symbian wasn't doing "badly" compared to some 1st world countries.
Hence the N9 should've been targeted strongly, yet it clearly hasn't been given any air.

The N9 is already dead. Prices are cut in half now. That help sales, but most people rather get the Lumia 800 or the N8 instead. Judging by sales and popularity of Nokia phones right now, the situation is like this:
1 Lumia 800
2 N8
3,4,5... Some dead cheap Nokia dumb phones
6 or lower: N9
After Belle came, the N8 is so good that it altogether is the best Nokia, and hence the real Nokia Flagship. Most people have no idea of operating systems. They think Belle is some "Nokia Android" and live happily with the N8, taking beautiful pics and downloading tons of apps.
Personally I have grown tired of Swipe. A nice concept, but ultimately flawed because there is no way of organizing things. Belle is so much better, and so is WP in the long run.

I see a big drop in N8 sales coming, a disintegration of mid/low Symbian Belle phones due to the Lumia 610.
The world doesn't stop. Everything changes, and the mobile industry changes faster than anything else. I am sure a real Linux phone like the N900 will emerge eventually, maybe real soon. But it will not come from Nokia, and it will not be a flagship device this time around either. Flagship devices are made for the general public, not for a small group of computer geeks (unless you count Android as Linux that is).
My bet for the next Linux phone is a Samsung device running a Tizen/Bada blend on Intel chipset or ZTE running some home-brewed Android like Linux on whatever chipset they get their hands on, maybe even both. But first, it's time for some 41 mega pixels
