Seeing as we appear to have 3 reports of it not working, and one working, there might be something else going on.

I will reinstall the package by incepting it, maybe that will do it, although I doubt it. (because the repository is already incepted, I was under the impression that the apps in it would install with incepted permissions)
They do...

system-ui needs to be incepted, it doesn't live under the repository

Everything works fine. The only problem is that pieces of info given in this thread are rather shattered so some get lost. To get everything working:

1. Install/update system-ui -- this is how
2. install MohammadAg's incepted-repo (as root, so go devel-su #password first) -- this is how
3. install LED control panel for system-ui (as root, so go devel-su #pass first) by typing (you need the repo enabled for that):
Code:
apt-get install duicontrolpanel-ledapplet
4. Done! All works: system-ui and LED control panel (under Settings/Notifications/Notifications/LED notifications)

I meant the led applet. I have unrestricted system ui functioning perfectly. It's just the notifications light I can't get running.

That's what I installed and uninstalled multiple times but still couldn't get to work. The old LED event plugin worked fine, and I may go back to it, I was just hoping a solution for this one would come up before I did.

I bet you haven't enabled the control panel for system-ui. See two posts above.

I appreciate the help, but yes, i've enabled it. Would you like screenshots proving it?

Trust me, i have unrestricted system-ui, the new version, i've tested it. I also have the repository installed, seeing as i've installed multiple things from there, including the applet multiples times.

I'm not sure why, and I'm sure the mistake is most likely on my end, however, I know how to follow instructions, and I'm simply not getting a blinking light.

I don't appear to be the only one either, so it's not a case of mistaken instructions.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure I had completed all the steps you listed at some point and the notification light wasn't working (although the toggles and safe mode worked). I just followed the steps you listed and now the notification light works.

I can also confirm that led notifications work.

All notifications showing correctly. Installation with the basic instructions.

For those to whom it is not showing there must be something specific to your phone. I didn't have any earlier installation of any other led notifications, did those to whom it is not working? Could that be the reason?

One, or actually couple of curios things did however happen to me. During the installation, the phone informed me that more disk space is going to be used and asked whether this is ok?!?!?! This also got more weird, because everything else was in English, but the question whether it is OK, came in FINNISH, my current system language?!?! It also gave the answering options in Finnish, but did not accept them, eventually I had to answer Y or Yes to get through. By answering in Finnish it would stop and cancel the installations. What was that, some kind of translation bug in the Finnish translation?

Also, can the settings->Notification-> Notification -> "Whateveritshouldreadhere" be changed? Where from? For me it only shows marks "!!". I am guessing this is also language related, since after going to the Led notification settings, everything is shown correctly in english.

Sigh...

I literally reinstalled everything, and still can't get these lights to work.

Not sure what else to do short of reflashing my phone, but it's not worth it just to get this running.

Maybe later it will work.
