I think that they have to forget about TOH.
In e few months there will be Jphone with SailfishOS 2.0 + Jtablet with SailfishOS 2.0.

Next big thing must be Jphablet:
- 6" AMOLED with N9 like off screen
- INTEGRATED HW keyboard
- High capacity battery

I don't mind about SoC, RAM etc. - Every thing that ensures that Sailfish will run fluently on it.

I do not get the point of "phablets". they are poor as phones and poor as tablets.

The Jolla phone as it is is about the largest phone I am going to bring with me.

With the phone and the upcoming tablet, I am not going to need an upgrade for a while.

While I am not impatient to upgrade the phone, I would consider it only if it has the same width/height, a better camera and a very long battery life. It may be a bit thicker, if that means better camera optics. OLED for the display would be nice.

The point is that i need a big screen for browsing coding etc. - in my pocket - Jtablet is too big for that, plus it doesn't have 3g.
There was something called UMPC in the past, I want something similar to those that fits in my pocket that's all.
Look at Note 4, Nexus 6, Iphone 6 plus etc. - almost every manufacturer has one these days, except the lack of HW keyboard + Sailfish on it (maybe Sailfish launcher?),
and those devices are the big hit ...

Personally, i wouldn't buy a [phone] with a bigger screen than 5" with a small bezel (or possibly 5.2" with a tiny bezel), as anything larger cannot be used one handed.

Admitedly, I have pretty big hands, and capturing the 95th percentile of users for one-handed operation may point to a smaller 4.7" screen.

However, I do like very large phablets as they make excellent pocketable tablets, as a secondary device of course. A great example would be the Sony Xperia Z Ultra:
> Premium build quality with waterproof chassis
> 6.4" fullHD screen
> Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2GB of ram and 16GB or storage
> Will get Android 5.0
> 4G cellular connectivity
> Currently available for as little as £220!

Buy that, or get some plasticky, underpowered, feature-stripped bobbins from samsung for ~£170...?

If the existing Jolla chassis can accomodate a 4.7" screen, then by all means keep ToH as I would accept the compromise, but the screen is the priority here.

I need a universal modem, at least 2Gig RAM as 1Gig is clearly not enough in my usage.
I find the camera to be poor compared to other phones so I would like to see improvement there.
Modem is most important, then RAM.

I just hope that there will be a crowd-sourced PRO variant of Jphone (integrated keyboard) - i don't mind even if it's Jphone 1 Pro!

@eldarmurtazin: YotaPhone следующего поколения может быть уже православным - на Sailfish (после Meego остатки нокийного наследия). Веяние времени
What he says here is that next YotaPhone might be on Sailfish.
Awesome news.

Sailfish on a Yotaphone device would be very interesting.
