What's all the fuss anyway?

I ordered the tablet, paid for it, paid for the upgrade and some day it will be shipped to me.
I'm in no particular hurry to get it, I have my Jolla device and SFOS Nexus7 to play with. One nice sunny day it will appear in my mailbox and that will be fine surprise but nothing I am desperate for

Only chance is if Jolla goes bankrupt, then of course I'll be without the tablet but even in that situation the tablet would not be my largest worry; I would be more saddened for the fact that there would be no next phone model from Jolla...

Jolla's notoriously appalling PR, that's all.

I am sure they are doing their best and I really feel for all their devs but surely even you will admit that their PR sucks big time. The fact that Dave pokes the fire every five minutes does not help either

I dont think their PR sucks. I just think their screen blog post was MIA...long enough without reason. after all close to release its easier to provide info if the info is in order and tabket should be almost complete shipping to devs within two weeks .

maybe they just forgot to place the orders of the new screens just share the info with us and move on from there...

2016 people still wait for Jolla Tablet but then Jolla announce company shuts down.

But hey, no problem, Nokia is back with Symbian with Sailfish Silica!

I'm actually a fan of Jolla/Sailfish; but I think that their PR does suck. They go dark too often, they don't really play up to their strengths and their message has been diluted by not really being focused in just a few key places to find their information. You have to damn near be Sherlock Holmes to find their stuff and then to see how it fits into your wants/needs.

But that's my personal opinion. Marketing-wise, they have Marc Dillon who's a great sales pitch/tech guy. His words resonate with folks that are not happy with Apple or Google.

PR... meh. I have no clue what the **** they're talking about half of the time. I think they believe in it; but since I'm in the US, it's never been relevant to me or my wants. Only the tablet has my interest.

And right now, I don't mind being patient.

Dear Jolla:

Please do not send my tablet till sometime after July. Otherwise I will take it with me on my beach vacation and end up getting the screen scratched.
