yeah... i got that lol and i placed it in myDocs and clicked on it, it took me to app man and it tried to install it then an error came up saying its an unhknown format or something cant remember.

ohh it said its incompatible

yeah you'll need to do the dpkg bit through xterm possibly as root can't remember as opposed to clicking on it the command is in same post as deb hopefully that should work sorry if it don't

so i go to X term and do this

root

dpkg -i bzip2_1.0.5-3+3m5_armel.deb

[then it will come up its installing then 1nc its done just exit right?]

this is what i got when i did try it dpkg way

anybody?? iv been trying the code again and still get the same error [no surprise] so does anyone have a clue on what im doing wrong because i dont lol.

Dude, sorry for saying that but if you cannot dpkg a file then you have a lot of things you need to learn.
Put the bzip2_1.0blablabla.deb in the root directory of your N900, i.e. in the folder where you see Sounds, Videos, Documents, etc.. then:

dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/bzip2_1.0.5-3+0m5_armel.deb
Your repositories are all correct, otherwise, apt-get update cannot complete.

sorry about me being an idiot man! insomnia is bad!! the pills i got from the doc dont help and im not even sure what day it is LOL! but thanks a million buddy! im pretty sure ever 1 who is looking at my posts are thing "how restarted can you get!!" again sorry for being stupid haha blame the insomnia not me

do this
sudo gianroot
cd /home/user/MyDocs
then
dpkg -i bzip2_1.0.5-3+0m5_armel.deb.
this should work as just tested it myself
