If it's dual core such as U8500, yes, it will be more than enough.
If it's just 1GHz Cortex A8, then it is over a year behind others.

Well, to me, it's not about how fast it calculates Pi.
As long as it is fast enough to not care what CPU it has, it's fine.

I thought Intel had mentioned over a year ago that they would be supplying chips to the new device.. a deal is a deal regardless of what's gone on since..

Would this Atom processor be any good in comparison?

the actual or next stepping of the "mobile atom" will be able to compete with arm (in performance and powerefficience), thats the wish from intel. we will see it soon i think.

and regarding cpu, i still hope my spec will (more or less) come true

No announcement just yet, no devices will be distributed at Meegocon too.
It makes sense though, the N9/950 is not meego.

it's funny how some are judging on a device which is not announced yet and it's specs which are not announced yet, either.

I couldnt't agree more but i think its safe to say the device is Harmattan or am i delusional as the rest?
