My little son asked me few days ago: "but how was it possible that a monkey had a son that was not a monkey anymore?"

Whenever that transition happened, those living it couldn't probably care less.

Sooo... Today we have 6-7 billion non-monkey sons but ALSO a few million monkey sons, living in a (relatively peaceful) coexistance. Right ? RIGHT ?

Have you seen the Gibraltar monkeys(well, macaques)? They are living in coexistence with non-monkeys. And generally, if you don't carry food, peaceful.

It's all just a matter of taste really.

It does all the same functions as an internet tablet but it has a slightly smaller screen and a cellular radio transmitter.

But Nokia hasn't called it a tablet, so is it one?

It's like PDAs, a lot of people stop calling them PDAs if they have cellular radio even if their functions and physical appearance is identical to non-cellular PDAs.

What is really interesting is that Nokia are PUSHING the "raw computer power" in a mobile device. Although its not a mobile device, its a "mobile computer"

Seems like thats what we have been asking for all along, although it still looks like a mobile device and I see only moves away from being more computer like, except in the marketing shpeal.

It will be interesting to see what will run on this thing, but it seems like the screen size will make already working apps like koffice even more unusable without perfect vision or a magnifying glass. Although they will probably fire up fast and run smooth...

Funny, a short while back weren't we insisting that it was a matter of physical specification? e.g. a screen bigger than 3.5".

Considering the fact that it supports pretty much all the same stuff, same apps and so on... yeah. Unless you have some different criteria for "internet tablet" than I do.

As I said, primarily, screen size.

This is not just my view but appeared to be the consensus on the forum esp. when comparison was being made to the iPhone.

So by this forum's own definition the N900 is a smart phone and not an internet tablet.
