Great usability (enahnced pinch/zoom)
Good performance (not quite opera mobile, though)
Nice features (OSS, extensions, fullscreen browsing, bookmark/password sync)

It looks as if FF4 is a solid contender for mobile browsers.

Honeycomb is looking functional, here's hoping that more quality apps are released in short order.

They 'stream' a virtual machine output from their servers to your desktop (think onlive, but for mobile apps). This is an extremely compelling feature if it works well.

Let the Amazon domination begin. Google should take note...

On the other hand, a great majority of his 'copycat' remarks wouldn't have been uttered if he was reviewing a maemo/meego handset. So imho there is indeed a pretty big similarity between those ui elements on honeycomb and iOS that he's showing.

(but yeah, there were quite a few honeycomb-exclusive features that he just glossed over without even mentioning)

You clearly missed how Linux and open-source have COMPLETELY destroyed the server and handset markets! Thank GOD the desktop market was saved from that onerous open-source operating system!

David Pogue with an ORIGINAL way to look like a snarky Apple fanboi. Look at the way he tries to hold off criticism by quickly putting the brakes at the end in the hopes that he doesn't lose ALL appearance of such TOTAL credibility. I kid--I kid. I kid because I like it. I like how seriously and credible your review was and how truly worthy of a slice of my day it was to watch.

You see what I did there, right? Oh the sarcasm! The sarcasm!

Man, I wish I could see what he would say back. But then, he's probably so 20th Century that he doesn't even know how to read the "Youbook or whatever it is" comments. We should forgive him, though, I'm sure he has little time to really properly review things and get more practical experience what with being busy playing video games on his iPad instead of actually having an interest in the technology he "reviews."

Not to mention that touchscreen computing (and computing in general) has been used for decades--and they've been evolving steps at a time--not so much innovating whole leaps at a time as he seems to want you to think Apple does. Most of what Apple did with the iPad was already being done in some form or another either by someone else or themselves already. The next thing that comes along is ALWAYS a little like the last one. Anyone remember how you had to slide to unlock a Palm phone? Multiple desktops on the Palm OS goes back a LOOONG way. Hell--Apple even did a lot of these touchscreen things back with the Newton. I'd like to know if he came out swinging the same way when EVERY graphical OS in the late 80's and into the 90's had a windowed desktop OS with office metaphors (trashcans, folders, etc., like the MacOS, Windows, GEM, Geos, etc.) when we all know they were copycats too (Xerox PARC). To their credit, every OS pretty much tried to create their own spin on a good idea. This was a GOOD thing.

As little as I know about David Pogue, the few times I'm bothered to read or watch him, he's struck me as a poor journalist with poor technology reviewing skills, very little practical memory of computing history (given the way he reviews) and a snarky jackass. Not someone I'd go out of my way to get a review from when I'm looking for Pros and Cons on devices even from the typical users' perspective. He's, effectively, a technology political satirist at best. Tsk.
