I can decrypt and get handbrake to work for my touch and it will also work using media player, but n900 will not recognize the movie I've encoded with the wiki presets. will not recognize the ironman trailer that is supposed to work either
I had earlier downloaded the codecs in extras thinking i needed that. Now the n900 does not recognize the songs that came with it
Never mind I rebooted and connected the headset. working fine

I just wanted to add I encoded mine with the custom script using handbrake and just ignored that exception error in windows, all have worked fine so far except avatar.I get a" file not supported" error but it works in wmp and quicktime

I have a season of Stargate Atlantis, the first ten episodes of Stargate Universe, and Star Trek VI on my N900.
It plays them very well.

My workflow:
This creates a 2Gig video file of very decent quality when thrown up on the projector or TV.
I tried the 2 presets on the Handbrake Wiki, the 1st was nasty quality and the second always errored out. I do want to try the "N900 Optimized Handbrake Preset" to see how it compares.
- Rip using DVD Shrink
- In Handbrake, select the folder created by DVD Shrink
- Select the Apple preset "Universal"
- Copy to my N900!

Raw x264, with mplayer, and NeroAACEnc. Level 3 Baseline profile, 2000 bitrate. You can see the x264enc options in the script.

I love it....just did a foreign movie and it rip the subtitles to the avi file.

there is also a zoom feature.....which makes me use most off my n900 screen when watching movies on mine.
But it was with the custom scripts not Handbrake/GUI tools.
