I understand where you are coming from but, lets look at it this way. Some people don't mind taking risks and are just tired of nokia taking so long (i am sure nokia has their reasons, it's not like they have the FW ready and they are not releasing it on purpose just to mess with people) But my n900 is working fine, i am happy with the leaked FW so far, but i did take precautions by backing up everything incase something goes wrong. I also have a n95 sitting in the back. For those people who'z n900 did mess up i am pretty sure they are calling themselves a ***** or idiot (whichever they prefer) and the last thing they need is someone else calling them that. They did take a risk and if it weren't for risks where would this world be today.

U know what i say, if u can't say anything nice about anybody don't say anything bad either (stay neutral)

This can't be true just before doing the about:config thing mentioned in the prev page my microB was giving ~8600 now its gone up to 13711 with stock kernel and to tell youse the truth I neva achieved this even with titans 850MHz ulv-kernel. Btw, I'm using leaked PR1.2

EDIT: Second attempt with the same stock kernel and leaked PR1.2: 14348

Everything is working well for me.

like:

skype video call. I initiated and had a nice chat with a friend over 3g. (full voice and video, didn't need to type)
browser: it feels more finished with the bak button and rotate option
System message about power usage exceeding charger. never saw that before
No 'more' menu is nice except it feels like an app dump now. I'll probaby see if catorize works.
rootfs is wide open. 90megs free after reinstalling all of my old programs.

Dislikes:
heat?! i feel like the phone is much warmer than before. but it did just hit 80 today in the city so it could be me.
friendstatus won't work for me. 'internal app closed' on start. (haven't tried many workarounds yet)
conversations gave me a 'unable to open chatrooom' once, but it was gone after a close and reopen.
ovi maps is effectively the same (for me) without voicenav.

Overall I'm just happy I don't feel the need to hit the update button any more. (keeping an eye on the heat)

I never tried this on PR1.1.1, but in 1.2 RC, there is a search function in the email app!ication. When in inbox, just start typing whatever u want to search.... It works like a charm!

not for me.... i love the search functionality in app manager, changes in the browser, new virtual keyboard, notifications on the lock slider screen and also the search function in the email application.....

disclaimer- last one may have been there in 1.1.1; i tried it only now
