Just called Nokia sweden.
The sells-reps have no information. The intresting thing is that they get their information from mobil.se, not from an internal source. (This is from the sells-rep 2 minutes ago.)

There is no information internally at nokia, about when swedish customers will start to recive their N900's.

Morning everyone. Good to see this thread is still going. For a minute I thought I'd have to do some work today

As for the comment earlier about Nokia retail getting there's first, aren't they run by MPD?

MPD have over 500 orders for the N900 and realistically speaking, they couldn't ship all of them in one day.

Therefore delivery will be staggered over 2-3 days from the 17th based on a first come first served basis.

Just received a message from Nokia Germany:

Google Translation:
Thank you for contacting the Nokia Online Shop.

It is true that, as in the press release written, has begun the extradition of the N900.

This means that the devices are supplied at the time to leave the plant and wholesalers, as well as our own warehouse.

"The delivery has begun," thus does not mean that the deliveries took place at our end customers.

At the present time lies before us, no other retail ship date as of 25/11/2009.

Please rest assured that you will keep as a Nokia shop online customer the equipment as one of the first users in their hands.
Now we know how it works in Background, as soon as Nokia Online Shop gets the devices they will ship to customers. But as the devices are still not in their stock, they have no other plan than the 25th.

I believe, we will get it much sooner.

According to the link I posted yesterday, it was reported that the phones left the production facilities over the weekend, hence they should have arrived at the destinations unless they sent them by ship!

After thinking about it more and more nokia probably did use ships just to drag the whole process even more .

I received an answer from CyberPort Germany. They haven' yet got a delivery date from Nokia.

No reason to believe that the press release would let this thread die. It set a landmark, not more. Not far to post number 3000!
