Woah! With the mounting competition, it looks as if Samsung is upping the clock rate of the Galaxy S II:

I wonder what general performance impact this will have...

This *may* bode well for the Tab 8.9/10.1 if they are too indeed running the Exynos 4210.

It seems as if Samsung is taking updates more seriously:

Its worth noting that Samsung has previously had a history of not supporting hardware beyond its release. This move is very encouraging.

Still, nothing about Galaxy Tab updates from Samsung, hmm? I'm starting to feel a liiiiiittle tiny bit of my ire bubbling up a little about Samsung's support of the 7-inch Tabs.

I somehow feel that Samsung will pull through, but I could be wrong. However, on the other hand, I'm somewhat shocked that nothing has been announced just yet.

There have been no updated re: Tab moving to v2.3, which seems logical, considering that the Galaxy S line of devices are all getting it, and the Tab has very similar hardware. So if not, 2.3, what? I think that the Tab will receive some sort of update, though exactly what remains to be seen.

speculation:
My gut says that Samsung is still hard at work on this, considering that HC seems 'optimized' (read: slow on anything other than) Tegra 2. But it's better not to set expectations if you know they won't be hit and so the announcement will imply that the roll-out is imminent.

I made a video on how you can make a Android tablet feel more like a Windows tablet. Sorry about the auto-focus issue but I need to get a better computer and camera. Anyways I show some neat tasks that a Android tablet with a pen could be used for

Incredibly cool...

I'm amazed that the Wacom Bamboo works with this tablet. This completely gives away how Wacom is doing 'active' digitizing via their tablet. The Bamboo is a capacitive sensor, and the pen is a capacitive stylus. Thus palm rejection is a software implementation.

Bottom line? Any quality capacitive implementation can support this pen, with the right API. I bet that the HTC Flyer is using this technique, it would be so cheap to implement...

I would *love* to see some palm-rejection algorithms. I would also love to see optimized input to handle faster handwriting speeds.

Well the Archos 5 has a resistive touchscreen so thus it can except any input I'm not sure about devices with a capacitive screen. Anyways I think Wacom achieves what they do through software and a special layer in the capacitive touchscreen that allows inking, palm rejection, and right clicking with a Wacom stylus. anyways I will see if this works on capacitive devices.
edit: I tried this on my brother's iPod touch and it didn't work at all.

For some reason, I was under the impressing that Archos devices rocked capacitive displays.

Not all Archos devices have capacitive displays and in fact most don't
