I use an electronic Bible for most of the reasons cited - convenience, easy access to multiple versions and translations, etc.
I just stumbled on this thread after many frustrating days trying to get an NIV into Rapier (still haven's succeeded) but since I have Laridian for the Palm, Garnet is about the best compromise I can hope for at this point.
Laridian on the Pocket PC is still the best IMHO, but the N800 has so many other features goint for it, the PPC is lost in the dust for me.
