Shouldn't it give the option of adjusting settings.

I would like to set the default zoom to 120% if possible.
Dude, you're da bomb. I couldn't figure out why the about:config was taking so freakin' long --- now I know that I'm not alone!

I just counted 230 seconds for it to show up --- that's just short of 4 minutes. Or, in other people's terms, the time it takes to get a cup of coffee/ tea.

Yeah, I see more like 7-10 seconds also. Sounds like you may have something running in the background, chewing up processor cycles.

Something must definitely be wrong if you guys are only reporting 10 second waits. I don't have anything running in the background though.

My experience with MicroB has been okay... not stellar. Whatever is causing this wait for me must be related to all the lags I experience with it.

Mine pops up on 3-4 seconds.

Did you restore a backup when you upgraded to OS2008?

The first time I updated I restored a backup and things didn't feel quite right. I imeediately did a clean install and manual restore everything works as it should.

I'm actually thinking about doing this. Before, I made a backup, but was not at all planning to use it, but then I couldn't get my phone pairing to work after the upgrade to OS2008, so I did. I didn't try about:config beforehand. Also, after I did a backup, but bluetooth headset would pair, but would not show up as a headset device. Go figure...

I bought my N800 used months ago --- I hope I didn't buy some prototype!!! :S

BTW, are you guys extending/ creating virtual memory on your SD cards?

Well people have certainly had trouble with restored OS2007 backups and MicroB, so that could be the issue.

FWIW I do have 128MB of swap enabled.

Ok, just did a clean reflash --- no backup restoration, no phone settings, etc. Went straight to MicroB, typed in about:config, and 3 seconds later... there it is.
