I found that Gnumeric needed the xls append in lower case. I was transferring two spreadsheets from my desktop PC but only saw one in Gnumeric file open. After checking the only difference was the one I could not see had XLS append. I edited it to xls and it showed up and I could open it without problems.

How can I enter in gnumeric some keys like ALT+ENTER ?

I am getting errors and even after running Canola Cleanup on OS2008 HE booted from MMC.

even apt-get -f install gnumeric could not solve dependancies....
