The only "substantial" upgrade that I have seen since I bought the navigation kit when it was first released over a year ago has been the name change from Navicore and now the addition of a green heart to the logo.
No, the reason for the boycott is simply because its inclusion with the OS is cock blocking any decent companies like TomTom or Garmin from entering the Tablet market by limiting their potential revenue.

... Does Nokia not allow third-party apps? How could they do it? Do you have a quote from someone from TomTom or anybody else, that they would like to offer navigation-sw for the NIT?

2008 has almost ALL maps increase in size.
2008/2006 (in MB)
USA East 785/732
USA West 726/685
Canada 77/75
Germany 307/297
....
As I quipped in earlier post, Singapore is the ONLY one that the number does not change; probably because she is so pettit
BTW, the slow dl is irritating, but not much. I start a dl before lie down, in the morning it is done. What bother me the most is the dl aborted, someimes.

Two questions:
1. I don't see any "green heart" icon anywhere. And I have the latest version, I think.
2. Has anyone checked to see if the KM/H vs MPH bug has been fixed while travelling?

My reasoning for the boycott is not because of the $329 I paid for it only to see the price drop to $299 2 weeks later, or because 6 months after that the reduced my license from unlimited to 36 months, or for the dismal interface, customer service, and general disregard for tablet users; No, the reason for the boycott is simply because its inclusion with the OS is cock blocking any decent companies like TomTom or Garmin from entering the Tablet market by limiting their potential revenue.
