I had problems which disappeared when I did the following:
Remove the accounts. Reboot. Reboot. Add the account again, but instead of the pre-defined "@gmail.com", I entered "@googlemail.com". Reboot. Reboot. Only then re-connect to the network.
And: it worked. Don't know which of these activities was necessary, though.

So as a previous poster suggested, try changing the pre-selected @gmail.com to @googlemail.com Worked for me !

I did find that same bug report on maemo (see post above). It seems to have been reported, so let's see how long until we get a fix. As I said yesterday, if the addition of Google Talk is the big new feature of this upgrade, then you would think that being able to log in to your Google account to actually use this feature would be required functionality!
