Wow, im in the same boat, just checked after reading your issue. Im using Tversity, which worked absolutely fine on the last firmware update. Very weird.

Heh. Its not PHONE its computer If anything weird happens first thing to do is reboot and after that verify that it doesn't still keep on doing it. If it doesn't appear anymore GOOD if it appears again then make bug report

I just tested and have to agree that there is some kind of an issue with UPnP. Just had to try WMP11 on Win7. Wmv's (not sure which codec) seems to work ok, but divx's and xvid's are not playable. Not sure though did they work before PR 1.1. A codec related issue?

Video files that were working previously (xvid avi's and x264 mp4s) have stopped playing if launched from within media player. If launched from file manager, they play but if the video-thumb process ever runs, the files stop working until next reboot. i tried flushing the media cache and letting it rebuild but no joy.

Changing volume without unlocking the phone no longer works for me. Previously when I pressed power button I could change volume without unlocking, now I have to take phone out from my pocket, unlock, change volume, lock, put back into my pocket.

Can anyone confirm that?

Sadly this looks likes to be case. Make bug report to see if it was intentional.

Same goes to people having issues with streaming xvid/divx or whatever videos worked before update.

My media player works great, browser works great, performance seems smoother, but its that streaming issue which is really frustrating me.

I initially thought codec, but usually the device refuses downright to play the file. And if the file doesnt fit the screen exactly, you can still see the very faint outlines, so the phone knows that some input is coming in.

Also, Tversity allows for streaming converting. I've manually set it to several different vid types, and they all do the same thing, play sound, and the first frame of vid stays on screen. I could be wrong, but I dont think its a codec issue.

I suspect there is an issue with tracker usage even with initial release. Because I filled bug 7147 (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7147) which describes pretty close event - see comment #8 from Nokia

Happily it disappears after tracker picks up your tumbnails from video files. But you may need some reboot after what - just sit and wait one day.

Did you see that before you upgrade to latest firmware?
