127.0.0.1 is a special IP - the loopback-address.
you have to scroll around and search for the IP of your wlan0 interface.

Code:
wlan0 link.... hwaddr.... inet addr:192.168.x.x

Hello, I've just bought myself an N900 and was trying to find a way of viewing my phones desktop on my laptop. I've installed x11vnc and obtained my wlan IP address and I am able to VNC into the phone.

However, on my old Windows Mobile connected over USB with ActiveSync installed I was able to use an application called MyMobiler (see http://www.mymobiler.com/) to remote control my Windows Mobile phone.

Is it possible to use VNC over the USB cable with Nokia Phone Suite 7.1 installed? What would be the correct IP address for the device connected over the USB?

I'd like to be able to use the USB cable as at work I cannot connect my phone to the office network but I can connect the phone using the USB cable to my office laptop.

Bill
