I did a test on this, and i found the problem is that once you checked "When I check-in" in Foursquare's official setting page, your check-in activities will be sent to facebook and twitter even if you uncheck the icon. The quick solution now is to change the settings in FourSquare as the attached screenshot.

This could be an API issue too, we are working on a more intuitive solution... will keep you posted
