I still have a fully fledged faith in Nokia, i owned the N95 back in 2007 when it was released, last firmware updated was dec-2009. I still have my 5800, got it on its release as well aaaaand the last firmware update was apr-2010, trust me, you won't find a company that would support their own devices after years of its release. My N900, four updates in 8 months only, sooooo, GO NOKIA GO, YEAAAAAAAH!!!

Faith is the tool of the ignorant

Base not your understanding on faith, but on logic and reason

You bought a phone, it's still a phone. I wouldn't call that a waste.

But what parts (to you) do qualify for a wasted purchase? I'm asking, just curious.

Gerbick

Given that you don't even own a N900, what makes you always comment on threads of this nature....and I mean always... when I saw the title of thread, I knew it would have comments from you.

Why is that so? I am asking, just curious

the waste comes in the fact on the amount I sold it for........yeah I could have gone with ebay and got a bit more for it but ebay selling has been a pain in the neck lately.

My faith in the N900 becoming the phone it should be gets smaller and smaller every week, obviously this isn't the n900's fault but rather Nokia's. The only thing I know for certain and Im sure many of you will agree, when the time comes to put our blessed N900's to rest Im almost certain there still will be nothing on the market that will mach it's spec!

I'm using a N900 now, actually. It's on loan from a friend and it's been in my possession for 15 days going into the end of my AT&T contract, which ended June 1st, 2010.

I've been using it to measure the T-Mobile network in this area, and to gauge my interest in the N900.

And I've recently purchased Nokia stock.

Now... with that said, why do I comment in these areas? I tend to be in the middle of the road in terms of ability to discuss things. Long-term Maemo user, Nokia investor, and potential N900 owner.

And if anything, Maemo community supporter.

I hope that answers your question. I'm quite sure I've answered this question numerous times. Feel free to ask more via PM.

Hey, would be great if we could stick to the op.

I would really like to see good arguments for or against the specifics in the op instead of random venting. We already have tons of threads for that. So please, no more "my phone sucks for reasons om not telling and screw nokia for not updating my phone for 3 weeks" posts.

Oh and just a reminder. The title says "faith in the n900", not faith in nokia.

@pradabada - i grew my faith for the n900 out of the logic and reasoning that I concluded in the op. My faith is therefor not the cause, but the result
