@RogerTHAcctant You need to close the application manager before you start using apt-get through terminal. Hence the question in your output; "...is another process using it?"

Upload files looks like it works, but when I check the folder I see nothing?
When I try to rename a file I get a message "Renaming of <filename> failed, network error".
Using N900 PR1.2 over 02 3G Network
