I get what you guys are saying, but...
If the hate were based solely on stuff being shoved in your face, I'd almost be driven to a frothy mouthed madness pertaining Linux... and I'm a 14 year user. Each day "Linux can do this... Linux can cure cancer... Linux is the best for ALL OF YOUR USES..." whatnot when... in my case, it's not always the best option in regards to some of my daily operations....

Still, the above quote is quite self-evident to me; it is about the same as stating that 95% of the most vocal critics of the Democratic party aren't Democrats. While a true enough statement, writing an article on the matter isn't exactly pushing journalistic excellence forward.
People join groups they agree with, and they buy products that they want to spend their money on.
