I think you mean apps not functionality. As far as i understand about functionality (i could be wrong) it goes the opposite way. I haven't seen any functionality my iphone 3GS can do and my N900 can't. But a lot of things N900 can that iphone can't even dream of. I don't own an android phone so cannot comment on android phone functionality.
As a normal phone user, N900 can hold pretty well at almost anything i throw at it.
I still wish there were more cool games on N900 tho

We all know that n900 can do things that no one can, but the lack of apps on n900 is frustrating. On iphone there is even app that meter winds speed with a very nice GUI. Sure n900 can do that, but the number of developer on n900 is just a fraction of iphone and even android. If someonde make an app with nice and bright GUI please tell me, everytinhg in this phone is dark, even themes
I am looking for a sound meter for n900, even opened a thread at brainstorm section for that, but looks like no one care for this. I have to use another cel with symbiam to do some sound meter.
I like n900 very much, I was between he and milestone (android) e choose this one for the open stuff. What i am seeing is not pleasing me very much, although only us can run gimp.
And so many nice games for iphone 3gs and none for n900. The hardware is like the same, but i know we never will be able to play games like that. Dont want only emulators.

GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE! Just about EVERY mobile can play NES games.. even my ancient Palm Tungsten TX here plays them. Pretty flawlessly, even!

Oh yes, and LOTS more emulated platforms too.

Most of my contacts are in Chinese thus the alphabet shortcuts doesn't really help me but I've no complain, as I always have the option to install some useful packages like 'scout' to help me in searching.
