If it has no light, you have forgotten to put on the back cover or there's something wrong with the way you dd'ed the image.

trying to boot once again

it just booted its the 5th time i am trying to boot to meego and it finally worked thank you all

nah, its like that
the back light turns on after meego boots up..
dont know why
last version didnt have backlight at all :S

Worked for me. It was very sluggish and laggy but it worked and I was able to make a phone call.

It has been always with my device so that during MeeGo boot there is no backlight, when the MeeGo Gui is loaded the light goes on. So was it also with this version. It functioned but no keyboard functions available.
