The keyboard really is great, but don't forget the form factor does come at a price - slower CPU (not even binary compatible with the N900), no microSD (-16GB flash) and smaller (non-replaceable) battery, which would certainly not help in a Maemo context. USB OTG is OTOH at least as much the question of software as it is hardware (i.e. Maemo would likely still require extensive hacking to gain proper OTG on current E7 hardware). All in all, I'd actually say that if it had Maemo, I'd rank it somewhere between the N810 and the N900... Which doesn't mean it's bad, just that it's a way better Symbian device than a Maemo one.

Well, I think it's really the time for manufacturers to make possible the way to buy a personnalised smartphone like it's already exist in informatic world !

then finally I could choose my dream phone

Black E7 look like, Maemo 5 OS (mono or multitouch I don't care about, I like resistif screen and stylet), 4" screen display, APN & xenon flash same as N8, USB Host, HDMI, FM transmitter, Compass, etc etc.......

Don't you see there's always something missing in whatever device lol ?

If you're fond of Android 2.2, you can have your own custom phone built for you today.

EDIT: It appears they've disabled ordering.

Yes thanx I saw this offer a few days ago, but it's seems that I am a nokia addict
And infortunatly I don't like android, also this manufacturer is new and unknow to my knowledge, I only trusted in nokia manufacturing for what I saw until now.
Nice will be the day when nokia will propose the same deal !

Went from my N900 to a Galaxy S some time back when Nokia dropped the ball. Was hoping the E7 could have been an option but firstly, it's Symbian, secondly the hardware sucks so no hope of installing maemo etc...

Alien Dalvik may come out on Symbian i guess. Even though some hate Android, you can't beat the amount and quality of the apps.

Why do I keep hoping and wishing that Nokia could ever get it right sniff.
