I always used to do this by putting a nickname/lastname e.g. "surf" in all my surfing contacts, then I just write an SMS to surf, and up comes all the people with surf in the name.. i tick them all and the phone sends to all

i Just installed the app. one pg 1 you said that i can use conversations to send sms to the groups i created but i'm not seeing that option, or am i mistaken?

Conversation is used to compose the SMS.
