Why should we spend another 300+$ on an android device when we already have gingerbread in our very N900?
Also, others may say android is very productive, shipped with superabundant number of apps, but maemo is still offers a wide variety of functions.
e.g:The task swicther that not even the 2010 devices could overtake it.
I believe Nokia should release the Maemo 5 again with a newer phone that has more horsepower to unlock its capabilities.

Totally agree.
I use Android to view Flash 10 contents and take advantage of some very good monolingual dictionaries that don't exist for Maemo...
And yes, of course, I wanted to see if it is worth switching to it permanently, ergo buying a real Android device. So far, I can only say it's a big fuss about nothing. Maemo is much better. And hey, if I need to install an app just to close or switch between the tasks... ridiculous...
Meego + Alien Dalvik will undoubtedly be the best deal! (if we ever see it).

for some reason guys, i find the android in my device far less snappier than the maemo,,,,
