anyone tried fennec/firefox or opera 11 yet?

yep, tried both.

Fennec: still quite slow. only slightly faster than fennec on the n900.

Opera: perhaps because its unoptimised, but its about as slow as fennec, and only available in landscape mode only. not many menu options either.

I'm using the stock browser mostly at this stage until something proper is released

problem with stock is textboxes like replying on forums for me. display isnt centered where you write a lot of the time, and you cant scroll within the textbox, creating trouble in editing or quoting.

Which version of fennec are you running? I ask because I've been using the nightlies on my N900 and the speed is tolerable (not great but much better than in the past.) Since the N9 is running a little better hardware, I was wondering if it might be better.

i would but another flaw emerged. i cant select country in registration there cause it doesnt scroll the list in stock browser...

Could it be the absolute disinterest in forum moderation here.
(moving incorrect posts, merging threads, deleting blatant flames etc)
Is due to the fact that most are focussing on the MeeGo forum now?
Maybe we should all be focussing our threads over there?
