Reposting on this thread since some folks were monitoring

I was able to get the citrix reciever for arm linux working. I had the developement repos enabled.

as root
1. install as directed from install.txt for citrix
2. apt-get install libXaw.so.7
3. apt-get install libXinerama1

I downloaded a launch.ica file by logging into the WIG and right clicking on a published app.

then ran
./wfica launch.ica

note: it is not optimized for the N900 and does not let you scroll around the screen.

Just noticed that citrix published some new software for the linux receiver. Seems to be optimized for armel and there is even a .deb file. Does not install natively but I will play around a bit. Of course I am not the best linux complier in the world so if anyone is free to help...

Hi, I just wanted to state that I'm eagerly waiting for greatscott's results on the new deb file available from Citrix. Any feedback as of yet? Thanks so much.

Hi Mookie and hello to the whole community,

thanks a lot for your posting, I did like you proposed and it worked pretty well for me(the only thing I am missing is right mouse button, hard to make changes in the AD without - if someone knows a workaround for that, please let me know)

I am able to administer our windows terminal servers without takin my Thinkpad with me(and without using slow SSH/openVPN+rdesktop method on the N900 - through citrix it's friggin fast)!

As there is no customized version of the citrix receiver for Maemo5 in sight I would like to see the process of logging in improved. It is still a little painful:

Steps I need to go through:
  1. Visit our Citrix Access Gateway with Fennec 1.1beta
  2. Login via username, password, and vasco token
  3. click the published application
  4. Firefox offers me to save(or open) the "launch.ica"(need to delete the old launch.ica through terminal first, otherwise it gets saved as launch(1).ica)
  5. go to the default citrix directory /usr/lib/ICAClient and start ./wfica /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/launch.ica
As there is a firefox plugin integrated in the ICAClient(it asks to install this after running the setupwfc, I wonder if this could work with Fennec as well as long the right files are in the right directories or if it needs further adjustments in the plugin:

I wish I could just push the "open" instead of the "save" button in Fennec and it would handle the rest itself like on my Ubuntu desktop. Any ideas how to start looking into it?

Or is it possible to tell Fennec how to handle .ICA files and open them with ./wfica?

Thanks a lot for any suggestions whom to ask or how to try things myself!

P.S.: I am a noob when it comes to linux stuff, so I ask for your patience - but I am eager to learn!

I still have the right click issue as well. I was not able to set the MIME types so that the ICA file would work. You can try a search for that. There is an android client now but I have not found a good document on how to port those apps to Maemo. Still hoping to finding a cleaner way to running the Citrix client.
